A café stop can be breakfast, a brief coffee or an unhurried break between walks. Before sitting down, check the menu and whether the space is intended for drinks, meals or both at that time of day.
Look at the menu first
Names, serving sizes and prices vary. If you would like milk, a larger cup or a non-coffee drink, ask rather than assuming that a familiar name means the same thing everywhere. Terrace and counter service may follow different arrangements.
A little courtesy goes a long way
Begin with a greeting, give staff room to work and ask whether a table is available if you are unsure. At busy times, keep bags and luggage out of the aisle and be considerate about the space your group uses.
